MakeChurchAwesome is a set of free tools and a song database for people who plan worship music. Every tool here was built to answer a real question that comes up during the week: what key is this song in, how long will this set run, which songs fit this theme.

Built by a worship leader

I spent years as a music director managing the same weekly scramble. Picking songs from memory, texting key changes to the band, hoping the energy arc made sense by Sunday morning. I built these tools because the alternatives were either too corporate or too complicated for the way worship teams actually work. SetFlow started as a spreadsheet I used for my own team. Now it's becoming something any worship leader can use.

How the song data works

The database has over a thousand worship songs with original keys, BPM, energy levels, and themes. BPM and key data is sourced from GetSongBPM. Songs come from artists like Hillsong, Bethel, Elevation, Maverick City, and many more. The catalog is updated on a regular basis as new songs get added to church rotations.

What's coming next

SetFlow is a dedicated worship planning app that builds on everything here. Key recommendations based on your vocalists, energy flow analysis, and song suggestions based on what your congregation already sings. It's currently in development.
